I have a whole bunch of images from Mexico particularly Olmec but significantly many others;
and a modest number from Mesoamerica. I remember years ago when finding the Yucatan
statuette on the right thinking that its African but not what you’d expect from the West
coast of Africa. When first learning of hypothesized Siberian origins to many of the Paleo
Indian tribes, I began to suspect that the Yucatan fellow could claim Siberian roots. For one
thing, his degree of body fat is not what you’d expect from a tropical environment as those
found in Africa. Now I’d say Altaian and to reflect on your related research, Seppo, from
Lake Baikal?

In any case, not too long after (or too long before – I forget which: but the pictures will contain
the date in properties) I came upon the Inuit woman on the left carved in walrus tusk. There
is no solid proof, nothing more than speculation and speculation alone that the Inuit woman
and Yukatan man share the same origins.

For one, their stature is both modest you could say short. Second, both have a
high degree of body fat; the proportion one would expect evolved to support
people who lived decamillenniums in the Far North and not more recent
immigrants who might come from the south but have been “indigenous” only from
10,000 BC or so. The man’s bun is of the small, tight sort [b] I have seen in
related populations with wiry hair who bind it on the top of their head by a
band. The Inuit woman above has a band around her hair [a] of the type found
worn by women indigenous to Greenland [c] as in the woman to the right. They
have full facial features (nose, mouth) found in African populations. An adaptation
to a cold environment would seem to be the very fleshy cheeks of all three individuals here.
What about the language of those indigenous to Greenland as compared to those indigenous to
Mesoamerican countries and is the genetic material if found common in Greenland and Mesoamerica
common to indigenous people in the Lake Baikal region?, Paul Marc Washington, paleoneolithic@yahoo.com
