The Habsburgs, Europe's Royal Family, was Black

Legend: How can it be that two of the Habsburg’s emperors Mattias (f) a nd Rudolf (g) have black features,
lived contemporaneously, and resembled one another? Because they are brothers sharing the parents
Charles V (d) and Isabella of Spain (e) who have black features. But, how can Charles V have such features
as does his brother Ferdinand I (c)? Because their grandparents Ferdinand II and Isabella of Castile (b)
and distant relative Mary of Burgundy (a) were black in feature.
